Listening to a catchy tune produces what you might call a yin/yang effect. On the one hand, music that is agreeable to the ear creates pleasurable aural sensations that are good for the body and soul. On the other hand, severely catchy tunes also tend to GET STUCK IN YOUR HEAD, sometimes for days at a time... and surgical removal is not an option.
